The privacy of our members is important to us.
Collecting data is essential to the running of any organisation. It allows us to inform you of changes, post or email you information and is required by Charity Commission Law. The general ethos of our Privacy and Data Protection Policy is that we keep the minimum data required in order to operate within this law and maintain the efficient operation of the club. As Such:
We do not run third party cookies on this site but do allow for members to use an auto save for their username and passwords so that their details and the website can be accessed easily,
Data collected in any forms on this site are kept secure. The data we collect is used solely for the running of the club and its administration and is kept on a secure database run by a third party who can more ably protect and update security as required.
We do not keep bank details or have access to financial passwords or credit card details on any electronic data base. These payment details ae handled via PayPal or World Pay on our behalf or the bank services we employ to run the Bank Account.
We do keep survey data but would not normally ask for identifying details. Please be aware that if you add personal details to any of the responses that these may end up being kept on the system.
Details for conference will be shared with the conference centre as required for them to fulfil their service to our members.
Apart from those organisations mentioned above membership details are not shared with third party organisations.
Under UK charity commission law Trustees of Christian Magicians UK may be required to pass on your contact details to any other member of our organisation. For further clarification on when this is or is not appropriate please refer to the charity commissions web page for up to date legislation on this matter. Any data shared in such a request can only be used by that member to contact the membership for Christian Magician UK purposes (such as calling an EGM). Not for personal reasons. That Data should then be deleted and any use outside of the parameters set out by the commission would be a breach of data law and trust by that member. For clarification or to access membership data for this purpose a request should be made in writing to a Trustee. Please note that Trustees cannot withhold passing on such information for legally valid requests by current paid up members.
You have the right to be removed from our mailing list at any time. Please contact a Trustee with your request.
You have the right to have any or all of the data held on you to be removed and deleted. Please be aware that in doing so this may cause you to cease being a member under charity law.
